Concept
The idea of SONČNA HIŠA was ripening for several years. In spring of 2006 its conceivers Nataša Kegelj Kovačič and Aleš Kegelj finally decided to carry it out. Thus the story was born about a brand new way of dwelling as well as spending one's holidays and leisure time. What Nataša and Aleš really wanted to do, was to offer all those who would like to spend their holidays in the countryside and are looking for an intimate environment one one side, yet furnished and completed with the top-quality details on the other, a place where all this is actually possible.
Thus the SONČNA HIŠA changed into a boutique hotel, a first ever of its kind in Slovenia. The ambitious owners picked up their crew of collaborators very carefully and together they indeed make an excellent team of creators of the SONČNA HIŠA services.
SONČNA HIŠA is a registered trademark ™ and not the last one of its kind. »We intend to build at least two more in Slovenia«, say Nataša and Aleš.
It was the owners' and the creators' wish as well to collaborate with the best experts in their respective fields as in Slovenia as well as in the Pomurje Region.
Furnishings and suppliers
Each suite is recognisable thanks to a precise graphic element, to which we have added details and accessories, so that the background to each room is complete in its entirety.
Our suites are furnished with chairs designed by Panton, Eames chair, Tom Vac, Living Divani (Kubus and Abitare sofas), Flos, Artemide, DeltaLight and Foscarini lighting systems, (with Arcadia and Strla installations), Sicis ceramics and Duravit, Catalano, Hansgrohe and Starck bathroom furnishings (Aquanobile).
We have entrusted the Italian company Jesse (Planet Plus) as far as furnishings and sofas are concerned.
To crown the total look are the accessories, which we have selected together with »NOVA – flowers and furnishings.
Our main objective is that you relax in the best possible way, so we have chosen latex beds (Dollar) and bedding and towels in the finest quality natural materials (Svilanit).
We have selected the prestigious cosmetic line from Provence l’Occitane for your personal care.
The saunas in the health and beauty centre are from the famous TYLO (Lesmi s.p.) brand and the sun beds are from Royal Botania (Prehod d.o.o.).
